Kelly Olynyk’s time with the Toronto Raptors has come to an end almost a year after it started.
The Kamloops native was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans with a pair of draft picks and Bruce Brown in exchange for Brandon Ingram Wednesday evening.
Olynyk joined the Raptors in February 2024 through a trade with the Utah Jazz.
The NBA veteran appeared in 52 total games with Toronto, averaging 9.8 points last season and 7.1 points this campaign.
Shortly after being acquired from the Utah Jazz, Olynyk signed a two-year extension with the Raptors worth $26.25 million.
The 33-year-old is in his 12th season in the NBA and was drafted 13th overall by the Boston Celtics in 2013.
Olynyk now finds himself going from one of the worst teams in the NBA's Eastern Conference to the worst team in the Western Conference.
