The Kamloops Venom was in action on Sunday, this time taking on the South Okanagan Flames in Kamloops.
Both teams battled hard, but in the end, Kamloops came out on top 11-5.
In the first period, the two teams traded goals. Kordell Primus started the night right for the Venom, Trey Dergousoff and Jordan Bunce followed that up to give the snakes a 3-2 lead after one.
Both teams scored twice in the second period to keep it at a one-goal game heading into the final frame. Dergousoff's tally midway through the second was enough the keep Kamloops in front.
In the third period, Kamloops came alive as Mason Suppanz, Primus, Drew Banniester, and Dergousoff all scored. Their six combined tallies were enough to win the game for the snakes.
Dergousoff and Primus, two Westsyde cats, were the workhorses for the team, collecting three goals each in the win.
Up next the Venom travel to Penticton to host the Flames in their second last game of the regular-season. That game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Penticton Memorial Arena.
