After BC scored in the opening minutes of the second quarter and then added a field goal to go up 9-7, Bethel-Thompson threw his second touchdown of the evening to regain Montreal’s lead before halftime.
Down 17-9 to start the fourth quarter, Sean Whyte got another field goal to bring the Leos within five points of Montreal.
With the clock winding down in the frame, Nathan Rourke found Keon Hatcher, who was tackled and the ball got away, but the officials ruled that Hatcher was down before the fumble, meaning BC got to keep possession.
The Lions immediately took advantage of the fresh set of downs and Rourke connected with Stanley Berryhill for a score to take a late 18-17 lead.

BC’s lead was short-lived as Montreal kicked a field goal to take a 20-18 lead with 28 seconds left on the clock, and it seemed like the Als were well on the way to their fourth win, but the Leos kept fighting.
The Lions continued to push and set up Whyte to nail a field goal as time expired to get BC’s second win of the season.
