To say that Nathan Rourke has been a revelation for the BC Lions would be a massive understatement.
The Victoria native continues to shine in his first season as starting quarterback for his home province team.
Over the weekend, he had one of the most impressive halfs in league history, which allowed the Lions to coast to a 46-14 victory on home turf.

Rourke broke his own record for passing yards in a game by a Canadian quarterback with 477 and did so with impressive accuracy, completing 34 of 37 throws.
Most of Rourke’s damage came in the first half before BC took its foot off the gas pedal, as he recorded an eye-popping 386 passing yards in the game’s first 30 minutes.
Before the break, Rourke threw five touchdown passes, three of them to Dominique Rhymes, and the Lions were up 37-7.

He showed off his legs by adding a rushing touchdown early in the third quarter before eventually being replaced by backup Michael O’Connor in the rout.
The Lions are now 6-1 on the season, with the single loss coming against the two-time defending champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who are a perfect 9-0.
Next up for BC is a road date with the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium next Saturday at 4 pm.
