In her second year with the team as a kicker, Turner suited up for their game against the University of Regina on Saturday.

Turner then got the call in the second quarter, making history as she stepped on the field as the first woman to play in a regular season U Sports football game.

She lined up for the field goal, nailing the 21-yard shot to become the first woman to ever score a point in a regular season U Sports football game.

To cap off the historic evening, the game went to overtime tied at 24-24.

Turner once again was brought in to kick a field goal and she buried the no-doubter, putting the team ahead by three points.

The Bisons’ defence came in and closed out the game for the 27-24 double overtime win.

Before Saturday's game, Turner had previously become the first woman to score at any U Sports football game when she hit a field goal in the 2022 preseason.

Turner's past includes playing Division I soccer at Loyola University Chicago, appearing in two games for the Ramblers during the 2020-21 season.
