The Bicycle Cafe and Tourism Kamloops have teamed up to present the Kamloops premiere of The Moment, a feature-length documentary about the origin of freeride mountain biking in the backwoods of British Columbia.
The Moment chronicles the stories of mountain bikers and filmmakers in North Vancouver, Kamloops and Rossland that turned the sport of cycling on its head. It premiered at Whistler Film Festival on Dec. 3
Attendees will have a chance to meet the cast and crew at two Kamloops showings at Paramount Theatre on Feb. 2.
The Moment is showing at 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Kamloops Bike Riders Association and the Kamloops Performance Cycling Centre. Tickets are available at the Bicycle Cafe at 1648 Valleyview Dr.
The Moment was directed by Darcy Turenne and stars Wade Simmons, Richie Schley, Brett Tippie, Chris Lawrence, Christian Begin, Bjorn Enga, Sterling Lorence, John Gibson, Eric Berger, Elladee Brown and many more.
