The Edmonton Oilers looked to use their momentum from a big game four win to take a series lead in game five on Saturday, but the Florida Panthers had other plans.
Brad Marchand scored twice for the Panthers as Florida took the 5-2 win on the road and has a chance to close the series on home ice on Tuesday.

Up 2-0 to start the third period, Marchand opened the scoring in the final frame to put the Panthers up 3-0.
Connor McDavid then found the back of the net with a wrist shot a couple of minutes later before Florida immediately answered with a Sam Reinhart score.
Corey Perry cut the lead in half with his 10th goal of the playoffs, but it was not enough as Florida scored on Edmonton’s empty net and sealed the win.
The Panthers now lead the series 3-2 and are one game away from defending their 2024 championship.
Edmonton will look to bounce back in game six on Tuesday and attempt to force a series-deciding game seven at home.
