Steve Nash earns his 1st NBA Championship ring

Canada's greatest NBA player of all time, Steve Nash, has just received his first Championship ring, after the Golden State Warriors became the champions of 2017.

Originally from Victoria, Nash celebrated the arrival of his Championship ring on Facebook.

The star point guard has been retired since 2015.

Since then he's been working as a player development consultant for the Warriors.

Nash never received a ring as a player, but certainly seemed ecstatic about receiving one as a coach.

As player development consultant, he's been working with players like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant on perfecting their shooting and scoring.

According to the Golden State Warriors' daily blog, Nash wasn't at the ring ceremony in early October, so coach, Steve Kerr, hand-delivered Nash's ring instead.

Coach Kerr's shirtless delivery of the ring, however, remains a mystery.

Recently, Nash embarked on a new podcast partnership called, 2 DADS UNITED.

On their show, Nash and retired professional soccer player, Stu Holden, discuss soccer, life and being a dad.

And if that doesn't pan out, he's still got a few key players to coach and just a couple of gyms to run.
