TRU WolfPack men's volleyball's Tim Dobbert is continuing to spike the ball in the Kamloops sports world, this time being named as a finalist for the Kamloops Sports Council 2018 University athlete of the year.
The 6'8" outside hitter from Aichelberg, Germany joins UBC Thunderbirds' swimmer Megan Dalke and the NCAA's St. Leo University lacrosse player Kyle Pauwels.
In 2018, Dobbert was named a second team Canada West all-star and led the league in kills per set with 4.13. He was also fourth in Canada West in kills with 322 and was honoured as U Sports Academic All-Canadian.
Dobbert appeared in 21 matches last year where he played 70 sets, had 679 total attacks, 22 service aces, nine solo blocks, and 43 block assists and scored 374.5 points.
