Team Canada rolling at World Women’s Curling Championship

It has been nearly a week of impressive curling by Team Homan as they represent Canada on the international stage at the 2024 BKT Tires World Women’s Curling Championship.

The Canadians are 11-0 with one game left to play in the round-robin stage and have secured a spot in Saturday’s semifinal match against a team that is yet to be decided.

“It’s some of the best curling we’ve had as a team and we hope to continue that,” said skip Rachel Homan to Curling Canada staff.

Canada secured the number one seed in the playoffs with an 8-2 victory over Team Scotland on Friday.

Team Homan’s last match of the round-robin stage will be against Team South Korea, who are currently tied for third place in the standings.

“For us, it’s just continue what we’re doing, fine-tune anything we need to clean up and keep the momentum going,” said Homan.

The Canadian's win on Friday morning marked their 27th consecutive victory, as they will look to use that momentum in the playoffs.

This is the fourth time Homan will compete in the playoffs at the event, previously earning bronze in 2013, silver in 2014 and gold in 2017.

The Canadians will play at 1 pm PDT on Saturday.
