There is a massive soccer tournament in Kamloops this weekend

The River City is gearing up to host a massive August long weekend soccer tournament over the next four days.

A total of 55 men's, women's and co-ed teams are set to battle in six different division with all their eyes on gold medals.

The tournament will see teams from Kamloops, the coast, and even as far as Fort St. John attending. Kamloops is represented well with "Pronto," "Nosebeers FC," and more looking to take home top honours.

Featured at the tournament will be games and one of the rowdiest, yet most respected, beer gardens in the city. All residents are welcome to take in the action from outside the pitch.

The tournament kicks off tonight at 7 pm with fan favourites Nosebeers FC taking on Ghetto FC at MacArthur Island Field 5. The rest of the action goes all weekend.
