Evacuation alert issued due to flooding event near Mill Creek Road

There is a flooding event in the vicinity of Mill Creek Road that is posing an imminent threat to people and property.

Due to the potential danger, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) has issued an evacuation alert for the following properties:

• 3885, 3889, and 4015 Mill Creek Rd

Residents will be given as much advance warning as possible prior to the evacuation, however people may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.

A reception centre will be established in Merritt at 1721 Coldwater Avenue. All residents that have been evacuated must register with Emergency Social Services at the designated reception centre.
