Kamloops broke a 98-year-old temperature record on Wednesday

It was another frigid day in all parts of British Columbia on Wednesday and that meant more daily temperature records were shattered.

There were 32 new marks set for the coldest Dec. 21 on record in communities across the province, and two more records were tied.

That includes right here in Kamloops where a 98-year-old temperature record was broken.

It fell to -26.6°C on Wednesday, a full degree colder then the previous low mark of -25.6°C that was seen all the way back in 1924.

But that wasn't even the oldest mark to be broken, as Clearwater broke a record that was previously set in 1921 and had stood for over a century.
