Among the communities to set a new benchmark was the Kelowna area, which just barely squeaked by the 12.2℃ record from 1932 with a high of 12.3℃.

Another record from that same year was broken in Merritt as the municipality reached a high of 15.9℃.

The oldest daily temperature record broken yesterday was from 1926 in the Pemberton area. The region experienced a high of 13.8℃ on Friday, one degree warmer than the previous high.

Clearwater surpassed a previous high of 10.6℃ with 12.3℃ and the Puntzi Mountain area set a new benchmark of 9.3℃.
