The forecast looks a little grim in the BC Interior this weekend.
Temperatures will drop into the teens in most spots, with rain and stormy weather expected as well.
Of course, that means even colder temperatures at higher elevations and Environment Canada is warning drivers about conditions expected through various mountain passes.
“An upper low will bring a cool air mass to the BC Interior this weekend,” the weather agency reports. “The colder air along with occasionally heavy precipitation means the mountain passes can expect some snow through the weekend.”

It won’t be anything drastic, as snowfall accumulation is projected to be between trace amounts and five centimetres.
However, with most people driving on their summer tires, it’s important to stay vigilant and drive cautiously if conditions do worsen.
