Weather records continue to fall across BC, and more may tumble as Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for parts of the province.
In total, three records fell on Sunday, with the warmest new record having been set in the Blue River area.
The community located between Clearwater and Valemount experienced a high of 31.2℃, a smidgen warmer than the benchmark of 31.0℃, which was set in 1998.
Burns Lake set a new record with a high of 29.3℃ while the Mackenzie area surpassed a benchmark from 2022 with a high of 29.4℃.
The latest heat warnings cover the Fraser Canyon, South Thompson and North Coast regions.
According to the agency, a ridge of high pressure anchored over the province will bring warm temperatures to parts of BC this week.
