An elementary school in Kamloops got top grades from the Fraser Institute’s annual report card in 2014, and officials are looking to see how much the rankings will change for this past school year.
The Fraser Institute ranks public and independent elementary and secondary schools in two separate report cards every year. The rankings are based on 10 academic indicators from data in the annual Foundation Skills Assessments (FSAs) by B.C. Ministry of Education. The FSAs are mandatory math and literacy tests that are administered to students. The report card also shows which schools have improved in the rankings and which ones have fallen.
