All lifts for skiing and snowboarding will be open at Sun Peaks on Friday, the perfect early Christmas present.
A release from the resort says the Burfield and Crystal chair lifts are the last to fully open for the season.
From Friday on, all chairlifts will run daily as per regular operating hours.
“Forecast is looking great for the next few weeks, so now is a great time to come skiing,” a spokesperson says.
“Early season conditions are present on the mountain. Available terrain will continue to be limited, but due to the on-going hard work of our operations team more runs will be open as the new snow falls.”
The majority of the resort’s Nordic skiing network is now open, but due to current conditions dogs and fat bikes are not permitted on the trails at this time.
According to Sun Peaks, there are few sections of the dog-friendly trails that require more snow before they can be opened.
“We look forward to welcoming your four-legged ski buddies as soon as conditions allow us to open these areas and complete the dog friendly route,” Sun Peaks says.
