A wildfire burning west of Kamloops is officially "under control."
According to fire information officer Taylor MacDonald, six crew members battled the two-hectare blaze south of Deadmen Creek yesterday.
"I'm not sure exactly when it went under control, but it is estimated at two hectares in size," said MacDonald. "We had six BCWS personnel respond yesterday, and we have 10 responding today."

MacDonald adds that it appears to be a human-caused fire.
"suspected to be human-caused for this time, that's all we have right now."
Local crews also took out an abandoned campfire, though it only got to .01 hectares in size.
