Kamloops Fire Rescue has been busy this Monday, getting called to two separate gas line incidents in under four hours.
According to KFR Captain Daryll Damini, the incident in Juniper is over and didn't require too much attention.
"The one in Juniper is over and done with," said Damini. "One truck... There were a few evacuations, I think what it was, was the main complex on Qu'Appelle and 12 residences on Emerald."
Damini mentioned that crews are still working on the struck gas line in the 200 block of Arrowstone Drive.
"That is ongoing right now. They're there and back (engine 1)."
Fortis BC spokesperson Diana Sorace mentioned that no evacuation was needed, though 150 residences are currently without gas.
Sorace expects crews to work well into the night to get the gas line up and running again.
Residents who are looking to dig are reminded to call Fortis BC before they dig as "90% of line hits are preventable if people call before they dig."
