A BC SPCA branch in Kelowna is appealing for help to find a dog that went missing from its foster home.
Copper, a five-year-old Shiba Inu, was last seen on Sunday morning.
She escaped from the backyard of her foster home in Upper East Kelowna, near Summerside Park, at about 11 a.m.
The SPCA said the dog is shy around people and will not allow strangers to come near her.
It advised members of the public to not attempt to approach Copper.
“Copper is extremely smart and will most likely be hiding somewhere quiet,” the SPCA explained.
“She can be curious of other dogs and small children. She is not overly food motivated but prefers liver treats.”
Copper has a collar with RDCO tag #41939.
If anyone has spotted Copper or has any information, contact foster Bob at 250-859-1478 or call the BC SPCA Kelowna Branch 250-861-7722.
