UPDATE: Mounties say BC girl, 15, 'has been located, is safe'

(UPDATE: May 14 @ 1:15 pm) – The Surrey RCMP say they have located a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing on Tuesday.

A news release issued shortly before 1 pm says the girl, who was reported missing after leaving a hospital, “has been located and is safe.”

“Thank you to the public, media and our policing and community partners for their assistance,” say the Surrey RCMP in the news release.

NowMedia staff have removed the youth's picture to respect her privacy.

(Original story: May 14 @ 11:30 am) – Mounties in Surrey are pleading for public assistance to help locate a missing teenager.

According to police, 15-year-old Miranda Hultin was last seen at 9 am today in the 9600 block of King George Boulevard.

She had just left the Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Hultin is described as a Caucasian female with short brown hair who stands 5’6” and has a slim build.

She was last seen wearing brown hospital pants, a blue hospital shirt and hospital socks, the RCMP explained.

“Police and family are deeply concerned for her health and well-being,” the RCMP release added.

Anyone with information on Hultin’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
