Kevin Trowbridge is a passionate lifestyle photographer who has dedicated the last 18 years to pursuing photographic mastery of creative wedding photography. Based in the Okanagan, he loves shooting creative portraits in the dramatic natural landscapes of British Columbia and worldwide. Kevin is published broadly in magazines and online (including Real Weddings, Style Me Pretty, & Wedluxe) for elegant collections of authentic and emotive images that are uniquely crafted to tell each couple’s personal story. He was also acknowledged as one of Junebug Weddings “Best of the Best” in 2014 when an image was selected as one of the top wedding photos in the world.
Why do you use Instagram?
It is so photo centric that it is a given necessity for any photographer and I like the broader reach that happens when people from all over the world find my images via hashtags and connect with me :).
What will people see on your feed?
Primarily highlights from all my wedding and engagement photoshoots, with a dash of my two young daughters Isadora Moon and Delphenia Star, plus a few behind the scenes moments.
Does your page have a specific style?
My style is primarily centered around creating intimate and connected portraits that are unique to each couple, but are also influenced by my obsession with visual simplicity and technical quality. Outside influences range from high fashion to character portraiture and even references to historical art pieces.
Favourite Instagram accounts to follow?
@WeddingLegends for inspiring wedding portraits, @Kat.Moon.Star my wife’s new passion for documenting our children and love of vegan food, and seeing my past students + apprentices grow such as @BlondyPhotography
Why do you follow KelownaNow?
To see highlights of other people’s favourite spots and activities to do in the Okanagan.
How do you decide on your location for shoots?
I most commonly search on beautiful natural locations throughout the Okanagan Valley on our adventures and travels then make recommendations to my clients once I read their photoshoot questionnaire that helps give me insight into their lifestyle and personality.
Biggest Instagram moment?
When top wedding gown designers like @misshayleypaige repost my images.
