The Canucks Autism Network (CAN) is getting ready to bring yet another fun and exciting fundraiser to the Okanagan.
CAN runs year-round adaptive sports and recreational programs for families and individuals who are a part of the Autism Spectrum.
Currently, CAN runs a great number of programs within Kelowna, including adaptive swimming and skating, gym-based sports, summer day camps and a plethora of family-friendly and community-oriented events.
To help keep these activities running throughout the year, CAN hosts a number of unique fundraisers throughout the city — with its newest scheduled for next weekend.
Country for CAN is a one night live music event that will see the OK Corral packed with country music fans and artists who are eager to support this worthy cause.
The line up includes performances by well-established and upcoming country acts such as Son of John, Michael Daniels, Ben Klick, Jeff Johnson, and Hillside Outlaws.
NowMedia sat down with Kayla Ungaro, regional coordinator for CAN to learn more about what the organization does and what attendees can expect from this new and exciting event.
Funds from ticket sales and the Country for CAN silent auction will go right back into supporting the various programs established right here in Kelowna.
Tickets for the event are available online now for just $20! Don’t miss out on a foot stompin’ good time for a great cause.
If you are unable to attend but would still like to support the cause, click here to donate through the CAN website.
